Travelo is my personal project. Travelo come from Travel and solo. I love traveling and every times, I travel by myself. I need to download a lot of application for activities, meet new people or find a host. So this is all in one application that will make travel much more fun.

Who is our users? 

Solo Travelers:

  • Individuals who prefer or enjoy traveling alone and are looking for an all-in-one platform to enhance their solo travel experience.

Digital Nomads:

  • Individuals who work remotely while traveling. They may seek features that help them discover co-working spaces, reliable internet connectivity, and a community of like-minded individuals.

Adventure Enthusiasts:

  • Travelers who are drawn to adventurous activities such as hiking, water sports, and exploration. They would appreciate features that highlight adventure-based experiences and connect them with fellow adventure enthusiasts.

Budget Travelers:

  • Individuals traveling on a tight budget who would appreciate features that help them find affordable accommodations, budget-friendly dining options, and transportation deals.

Language Learners:

  • Individuals using travel as an opportunity to learn or practice a new language. Features that assist with language translation, language exchange meetups, and cultural language experiences would be valuable.

This application have 6 main menu which is Travel (information and review of destination) Things to do (Activities that people can participate) Host (people can find the safe places and get experience to get to know local) Food (Food that you can try) Meetup (Event that can hang out and enjoy their time) and My trip (you can make your own trip) 

Before Start

As the initial design phase continued, I made sure to base screen designs on feedback and findings from the user research.

Low-fidelity prototype

Using the completed set of digital wireframes, I created a low-fidelity prototype. The primary user flow I connected was looking the inforamation and booking a ticket, so the prototype could be used in a usability study.

Design Time

Early designs allowed for some customization, but after the usability studies, I design for more information for users such as the point.Moreover, I increse font size and show more detail on nav bar

What did I Learn?

#Diverse User Preferences:
Recognizing that solo travelers have diverse preferences and interests. Tailoring features to cater to both adventure seekers like Alex and cultural explorers like Maya ensures a broad appeal.

#Tech-Savviness Variations:
Understanding that users fall on a spectrum of tech-savviness. Designing an application that accommodates both very tech-savvy users like Alex and moderately tech-savvy users like Maya involves clear interfaces and user-friendly features.

#Personalized Experiences:
Acknowledging the importance of personalization in the app. Providing personalized dashboards with relevant content and activity suggestions enhances user engagement and satisfaction.

#Social Connection Importance:
Recognizing the value of social features for users like Alex who seek adventure buddies and group activities. Balancing social features with the preferences of users like Maya who may prefer more solo experiences is crucial.

#Safety and Cultural Sensitivity:
Learning the importance of safety features, especially for users engaged in adventurous activities. Ensuring cultural sensitivity and providing information on cultural etiquette are essential for a positive user experience.
